Kerala State RUTRONIX was set up by the Government of Kerala as an apex federation of 18 Rural Women’s Electronics Societies in the State. We manufactured and supplied various electronic equipments. We are the leading Software, Computer and Computer Training organization having our presence in all the districts of Kerala, through our Societies and Authorized Training Centers. Kerala State Rutronix was a joint venture of the Dept. of IT (Govt. of India), Khadi and Village Industries Commission (Govt. of India), Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Board (Govt. of Kerala), and Keltron. At present there are 18 Rural Women’s Electronics Industrial Co-operative Societies under its umbrella and around 500 technicians work in these societies. These Societies were engaged in the assembly of electronics items like Televisions, VCD players, Electronic Chokes, CF Lamps, Radios, UPS, EPABX system and Solar Devices. At present, it’s in the area of Computer Assembling and Software Consultancy that’s predominating. Through the network of societies under the umbrella of RUTRONIX, we have presence and reach throughout the State of Kerala. Our software division named ‘Govern-IT’ has implemented several software projects for quite a lot of public sector organizations under the Govt. of India and the State Government. Kerala State Rutronix has a very good track record of having supplied a large number of equipment to Government, Quasi Government and Private Agencies in the past and also of having undertaken several Software projects for leading public sector and private sector units.

As part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of our State and with the aim of empowering women through modern technology, Kerala State RUTRONIX had launched and successfully implemented the “IT KERALA” programme to provide "Employment Oriented Computer Education at Affordable Cost to All". This program launched in 2005 has changed the standard of Computer Education are being conducted in the state.
We launched another programme in 2008 on “SHRD” -“Surabhi Human Resource Development” to meet the increasing demands in the exciting vista of opportunities in the multimedia and animation sectors through SURABHI Multimedia-Animation, with an objective of meeting the requirements of enterprises from local resources, while improving the skill-sets of trained manpower and to raise their earning capacity.
The SURABHI project has been structured to equip students with the aesthetics, knowledge base and managerial skills in mastering the cutting edge technologies of Multimedia, Animation, Web Designing and Fine Arts. And we launched in 2009, the new project named “AIMS”–‘Academy of IT Infrastructure Management Studies’. It endeavors to provide training in the management systems that enhance the maintenance and up-gradation of IT based infrastructure. With systems management, network management and storage management as the application categories, courses offered by the ‘Academy of IT Infrastructure Management Studies’ provides extensive knowledge on deploying the system in remote, on-site and hybrid locations.
Infrastructure Management Systems (IMS) like CLOUD COMPUTING is coming up as the next big wave in the IT Industry. It has been foreseen that a multitude of job opportunities and career prospects would come up in the coming few years. Kerala State RUTRONIX is authorized by the Govt.of Kerala to conduct Professional computer courses. The Government has approved 10 Computer Courses currently offered by Kerala State RUTRONIX. In addition to these courses, Kerala State RUTRONIX also conducts several other Computer Courses aimed at equipping students for self employment.
